His first week in Georgia, he made his way onto a local bill, etching a name for himself as a fresh and favorite hometown voice. He is ardently received by his ever-growing following at legendary venues like Eddie’s Attic and the Georgia Theatre, along with tours across the East Coast. Firmly rooted in Americana and dashed with catchy pop sensibilities, the swinging depths of neo-soul, and a sprinkling of riotous horns, Wim’s arresting sound is as fresh as it is ageless, as fevered as it is raucous fun. A sonic westward expansion of fuzzed-out guitars, saloon pianos, defiant horns, and dusty vocals, his discography blazes a new take on folk and soul while honoring the songwriting giants that paved the way before him like Jason Isbell, Bill Withers, and Chris Stapleton. Follow Wim on Spotify and Instagram and never miss out on the musical misadventures of the East Coast’s resident space cowboy. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents Francis Of Delirium on Wednesday, November 4th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! The epitome of a modern artist, Jana Bahrich does most things herself, no matter how painstaking - writing, producing, directing, often hand painting t-shirts the day of shows when the band have run out of merch. This has helped give her band Francis of Delirium a unique identity, with her rock confessionals breathing a new life in to the genre and her paintings creating a striking design aesthetic. Released as she was finishing high school, 2020’s single 'Quit Fucking Around’ was a great introduction and it remains one of her most enduring songs. Shortly after it’s release, she signed to artist-first indie Dalliance Recordings (Gia Margaret, HighSchool, lilo) and three EPs - All Change (2020), Wading (2021), The Funhouse (2022) and a striking debut album - Lighthouse (2024) - on and Jana has Francis of Delirium flying. While the EP’s fizzed with promise, her debut album Lighthouse landed its punches. Seeking a more vulnerable and open sonic palette, she wove in pop elements to create anthems that celebrated heartbreak and love. Lead singles ‘Real Love’ and ‘First Touch’ were the first tracks she made with an outsider - working with GRAMMY winning producer Catherine Marks (boygenius, The Killers, Wolf Alice) - while the rest of the album was produced by Jana herself and day one collaborator Chris Hewett. The critics were impressed too - “Bahrich’s choruses, almost every one, are lump-in-your-throat gorgeous.” NME; “Jana Bahrich seems too young for this tremendous debut’s ambitious anthems.” Uncut; “A rewarding experience that captures a talented, young artist at the crossroads between adolescence and adulthood." Paste. Live, Francis of Delirium are Jana (guitar and vocals), Jeff Hennico (bass) and Denis Schumacher (drums). Together, their brilliant quiet-loud dynamic and tight interplay only elevate her songs and over the last 5 years, they’ve toured across Europe and North America, playing headline shows, festivals and tours with the likes of Blondshell, Briston Maroney, The Districts, Horsegirl and Soccer Mommy. They’ve also supported The 1975, Alanis Morissette, DIIV and Wolf Alice. Last summer saw a memorable UK tour with Bôa, the 90s band resurrected by a huge TikTok moment for their track ‘Duvet’. There was a real sense of excitement for these shows with young crowds snaking outside every venue hours before doors and bringing the sort of energy Jana thrives on, she road tested new material to an overwhelmingly positive response, giving her the impetus to go and finish album two. Featuring the singles ‘Little Black Dress’ and ‘It’s a Beautiful Life’, Run, Run Pure Beauty serves as an excavation of hope in bleak times. Produced by Jana and Chris, and mixed by Nicolas Vernhes (Deerhunter, Dirty Projectors, Silver Jews, Wild Nothing), its eleven songs of discovery, despair and perseverance ultimately serve as a mirror on its creator and is a brilliant next installment in the Francis of Delirium arc. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents Slow Magic on Saturday, September 12 - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Darkness and light, aggression and gentleness, ecstasy and reflection: these dualities define Slow Magic’s third and strongest project to date, Float. An expansive and inventive compendium of modern electronic pop, the enigmatic producer’s latest spans a multitude of genres and moods resulting in a listening experience that makes for its own journey. Written and recorded over the past two years, work on Float commenced shortly after touring behind 2014’s dreamy How to Run Away, the record’s jagged and surprising new sounds taking shape after a leisurely trip to Iceland in order to “try to get away” from things. A subsequent trip to Japan—wherein Slow Magic performed in the country for the first time—further solidified what would go into the album’s sonic and visual motifs. Float marks a number of “firsts” for Slow Magic: it’s the first time the producer’s worked with live drums, as well as the first time they’ve brought guest vocalists into the Slow Magic world, from MNDR and Swedish electro-rockers Kate Boy to like-minded producer Tropics and Antlers frontman Peter Silberman. But it’s a testament to Slow Magic’s unique creative approach that these different voices coalesce on an album that presents a uniform vision even as it embraces exuberant creativity. Music has always provided a retreat for anyone looking to lose themselves in pure sound, and Float is a trip that no one will regret taking. Recently, he put out his 5th studio album, forgotten feels, and in 2024 he plans to put out a how to run away bonus disk around the 10 year anniversary of his second album. In 2026, slow magic plans to release his 6th studio album “emotion engine” in the summer. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents Hayden Blount on Sunday, June 14 - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! With a distinctly raw, plainspoken form of instinctual song craft, 23-year-old Hayden Blount has grown into the epitome of a real-deal country outsider … and he’s got no intentions of changing that up. A native and current resident of Savannah, Tennessee, the self-taught talent wields a no-B.S. sound and a drive to cut his own path, earning breakout acclaim with the God’s-honest-truth as his only creative requirement. Because where Blount comes from, a man’s word is his bond. Living out the lines of countless country songs, the rising star played baseball throughout high school before an injury derailed his plans, and rule-breaking country innovators like Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers refocused his attention. Proving a quick study with a gift for rural realism, the D.I.Y. singer-songwriter released his first independent tracks in 2023, and in 2024 the romantic rough edges of “To Know You Were Mine” cut through. Leading to a distribution deal with Santa Anna, Blount followed up with the 2024 EP debut Up, Out, and Leaving – nine-songs which solidified his rustic sound and stripped-down melodic instincts, driven by a vocal built on character, not theatrics. Likewise, brutal honesty formed the bedrock of a unique creative vision, with solo-written songs keeping Blount focused – and never chasing trends. The burning desire behind 2024’s “Good God, Hot Damn” gathered steam, and later that year “Heaven on Earth” became a bonafide hit. Built on a dusky but propulsive guitar-and-fiddle pairing, it’s racked up more than 25 million streams while standing in sharp contrast to the mainstream. Still based in Savannah, Blount will spend early 2026 on the road. And with a new debut album in the works, that style is bound to evolve … but never stray from the truth.
Globe Hall Presents Amelia Day on Saturday, June 20th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Amelia Day is a musical jack-of-all-trades. Standing at the intersection of folk, rock, and pop, Day blends heartfelt storytelling, raw delivery, and unforgettable melodies into music that feels both fresh and familiar — like rediscovering an old favorite. A self-described writer before anything else, her perceptive lyricism extends far beyond her 23 years, with lines reminiscent of songwriting greats like Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon. As the Spokesman-Review notes, Day has a signature style that features “wordplay, double-meanings and rhythmic variations,” with themes ranging from journeying into adulthood to climate change. Many of Day’s songs are also shaped by her intimate relationships, where her queerness and candor take center stage. Day’s upcoming EP EGO TRIP is her most personal project yet. Lead single “Lady Los Angeles” traces the sting of betrayal after discovering infidelity, while the rest of the EP takes listeners on an intimate journey through her grieving process. “The character of ‘Lady Los Angeles’ is representative of my ex’s obsession with attention and fame at all costs and my own fear of being seduced by those same temptations,” Day explains. “It felt like she was having an affair, not only with another person, but with the often-self-aggrandizing culture of Los Angeles itself.” Born and raised in the small town of Sumner, Washington — the self-proclaimed “Rhubarb Pie Capital of the World” — Day has been drawn to music-making since she could walk. “I had no idea what I was doing, but I had a toy ukulele and drum, and my parents had an upright piano that I would mess around on,” she recalls. “I could spend hours just playing around on the keys, making up little songs, which my piano teacher recognized and encouraged.” By middle school, Day was already writing her own songs “about myself and my (very angsty) preteen feelings.” Once Day got to college, she began performing her originals publicly, though not without roadblocks. “I had horrible stage fright up until mid-college,” she admits. Starting with farmers markets and local restaurants, Day gradually built up the confidence and the following that would lead to sold-out shows in Seattle, Boston, and D.C., as well as festival appearances at Bumbershoot (“one of my favorite sets I’ve ever played…there was a line of people outside waiting to get in!”), Capitol Hill Block Party, Folklife Festival, and Seattle PrideFest — all on her own. “I’m proud of getting to this point as an artist completely solo,” Day says. Already boasting over a million streams on a number of songs, Amelia Day continues to prove herself as both a songwriter and performer, emerging as a voice destined to resonate for years to come. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. With a vibrant blend of alternative indie pop, Tyler's sound evokes a sense of nostalgia, joy, and classic song-craft. Now, he's gearing up to release his debut full-length album, “For The First Time, Again,” produced by longtime collaborators Jonathan Rado and Ryan Pollie. Grounded in this ethos of presence, Tyler's music is built on strong melodic hooks and draws subtle inspiration from the classic songwriting of the '60s and '70s. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents An Evening With Ella Luna on Wednesday, May 20th. Ella Luna is a 23 year old singer/songwriter from Denver, Colorado. Combining intimate vocals, raw instruments, and intricate lyrical work, Ella has been able to evolve into her persona both musically and emotionally. On her album Anything To Make It Loud (Holy Volcano), Ella explores the journey of growing up, femininity, domesticity, and intimacy. The record creates a magical sonic space with swelling string sections, warm piano, and dreamy guitar, bringing the listener into the world that she has created within the nine tracks. Ella makes a point to work with other female and non-men musicians. The band that she and producer-violinist Gregory Allison put together for the record included drummer Elizabeth Goodfellow, upright-bassist Allee Futterer, trumpeter Chloe Swindler, bassist Kaylee Stenberg, and saxophonist Kaela Seltzer. She invited her band to display their own independent style on their instrument to even better present the songs that she wrote on piano and guitar. Ella's strength in lyricism and songwriting only grows as she ages. Compare the focus track “Nina” from her first record with “Laundry” and “All Silk & Satin,” from Anything To Make It Loud and one finds a more evocative and evolved artistry in both the songwriting, and production. Ella displays her classical vocal training on Anything To Make It Loud with strength in her low and high ranges, and again with her stacked harmonies. She also proves herself as an impressive instrumentalist, writing and performing all of the piano and guitar on her songs. Ella showcases her queerness through music in a way that is not loud or the sole subject of her writing. She finds a way to write songs about being a woman and loving women in a way that simply sounds feminine and the way she believes love to be: soft, sweet, beautiful, and simple. The way that Ella is able to capture her identity has moved many young queer women, from the release of “Nina” to now. Anything To Make It Loud expands on her identity as a lover, daughter, friend, and artist. Ella has been active in the Denver music scene since she was 14. While studying Vocal Music at Denver School of the Arts, she made her mark through being featured on local radio and in magazines, headlining at various local venues, and a live session on NPR. She independently released Always a Bridesmaid, Never a Bride in 2020 at the age of 17, and released Anything To Make It Loud under Holy Volcano Records in 2023 at age 20. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2021, Ella has played various shows, including Genghis Cohen and Gold Diggers hosted by Sid the Cat. She has had the opportunity to surround herself with amazing artists and musicians, and continues to prove that she is worthy of the attention of listeners. They are, on one hand, a band from the South that plays traditional instruments and indeed once lived in the old-time locus of Floyd, Virginia. Comparisons to and a kinship with The Avett Brothers and even Old Crow Medicine Show are inevitable. On the other hand, Palmyra writes about grief, gender dysphoria and identity, and coming of age in songs that flirt with soul, post-rock, and even emo; the South, too, is the place of My Morning Jacket, Band of Horses, Cat Power, and now, Palmyra. The band’s first full length LP, Restless, is out now on Oh Boy Records. Framed by moments of struggle, solidarity, and hard-won growth, Restless is an unqualified ringer for anyone who loves the space where the roar of indie rock collides with raw folk. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
KGNU presents Leon Majcen on Sunday, July 19th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! A modern-day folksinger rooted in the classic tradition of Townes Van Zandt and John Prine, Leon Majcen got started early. He was still a teenager when Love and Misery became a hit on SiriusXM’s The Coffee House channel, introducing a nationwide audience to his unique spin on American roots music. What followed was a decade of traveling, performing, and chasing down new horizons — often with an acoustic guitar in his hands and a fly rod in the trunk. Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) marks Leon’s fourth album in five years. Inspired by the tours that have taken him far beyond his adopted home of Nashville, it’s the sound of a road warrior who’s grown all too familiar with the highs, lows, and heartbreaks that pave the long road out of town. He writes poignantly about a life spent on the move, bouncing between solo songs and full-band performances. For a songwriter who first hit the road as an infant — back when his Bosnian refugee parents moved the family to Florida, determined to find a better life for their children — Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) is Leon’s most honest album to date, fueled equally by melody and momentum. “The road is calling; don’t leave the light on,” he sings during the first track, delivering the line to all the people and places he’s left behind in the rearview mirror. Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) often revisits that theme of departure, from tracks like “Down the Road” — a laid-back, loping tribute to skipping town, punctuated by fiddle solos and a deep, countrified groove — to the darkly humorous “Sleeping in a Car Is Fun Until You Gotta Pee.” Both of those songs are driven forward by Leon’s acoustic guitar, a nod to his longtime roots as a disciple of Guy Clark and Bob Dylan. That doesn’t stop him from getting loud with “Walking Down the Street,” a bluesy rocker packed with amplification and attitude. That’s uncharted territory for Leon, and it’s proof that even the most seasoned travelers deserve to explore new places once in a while. “I’ve always occupied the folky side of country music, or the country side of folk,” he says, nodding to previous releases like 2020’s Back ’Til I’m Gone, 2024’s self-titled Leon Majcen, and 2025’s Better Days. “For years, I’ve felt most at home when it’s just me and my acoustic guitar. But this record is a pivot. It’s a bigger sound with more layers, more intent, and a real producer. It just feels right.” There are more shows on the horizon. More songs to write. More fishing holes to track down. Leon is part of the Cloverdale family now — a record label and musical collective overseen by Evan Honer, another Gen Z songwriter who uses folk music as a launchpad for a more expansive sound. And if the road truly goes on forever, then he’s ready to run it down. This is how Leon makes a living, and right now, life is good. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents Delicate Steve on Friday, June 19th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Take a visit to Luke’s Garage, Delicate Steve’s latest album, and you’ll discover a place where sparks of creativity fly in all directions, where melodies splatter the walls like brightly hued paint, where no idea is too simple, too ingenuous, too full of childlike wonder. The L.A.-via-Jersey guitarist born Steve Marion, whose credits include session work for Amen Dunes, Paul Simon, and Deradoorian, had no grand plan for making it: he would simply book some time at a friend’s studio, hunker down, and play. He’s always allowed intuition to guide him, composing his jubilantly tuneful instrumentals as he records them, but this time, he felt freer than ever to “keep the seams showing, and don’t polish everything, and keep it raw, and alive, and electric-feeling,” he says. He chose the title, Luke’s Garage, as a tribute to his pal and sometime collaborator Luke Temple, but also for the anything-goes adolescent innocence it conjured: the feeling of heading over to a buddy’s house, turning up the amps, and creating your own world. In the world of Luke’s Garage, a passage of music that feels like a sketch in progress might open into a hook so finely wrought, so obviously right, that you have a hard time believing you haven’t heard it before. The two passages may in fact be one and the same. There are songs that feel destined to soundtrack memories of windows-down road trips, and those more suited to moments of hushed intimacy. A shadowy synth-pop excursion (“Light of the World”) veers into a candlelit soul ballad (“Shall Be Free”); a chugging garage-rocker (the title track, naturally) sets up an unexpected detour into slinky disco (“There Goes My Baby”). Delicate Steve’s unmistakable sensibility, his tone airy yet tactile, his lines full of poignant bends and whimsical asides, is a benevolent guide through the ever-shifting landscape, keeping a steady hand on the wheel no matter the surroundings. He has little interest in showing off, focusing instead on clarity, simplicity, and directness—more like an openhearted pop songwriter than a look-what-I-can-do shredder. Marion played every instrument on Luke’s Garage himself—guitars, drums, keys, bass—which heightens its homespun charm. The album’s sense of music as a colorful playground for exploration may remind you of Paul McCartney’s early solo work, made at a time when he was shrugging off the weight of expectation and digging into his own idiosyncrasy, tinkering alone until he found a sound that made him feel and trusting it would do the same for others. As with the McCartney, this record’s air of easy spontaneity belies serious craftsmanship and care: the exuberantly arcing melody of “We’ll Be Friends” and the quietly hopeful one of “Die With It” didn’t just come out of thin air, no matter how natural or even preordained they may seem. To hear Marion tell it, the audible joy in his music isn’t some affect he’s choosing to put on, but an honest expression of his own delight and relief when he finally finds the right note, the right rhythm. The prevailing mood of Luke’s Garage is one of discovery, because you’re hearing Marion discover the music himself. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. His deeply soulful vocals transport you straight back to a smoke-filled speak easy which somehow still feels fresh and innovative. Between stints working on music regularly in Liverpool & London, Jones has travelled the world as a musician & penned songs for other artists, making a name for himself as a gifted and prolific songwriter. Since then, lockdown gave him the time and space to put his talent under his own name. His debut single ‘I Won't Ever Say Goodbye’ is a soulful, heart-on-sleeve ballad that marks the start of big things & his latest single ‘Feeling Lonely’ has quickly followed suit. Received great support from BBC introducing multiple spins on 1xtra, a ‘Step up’ artist on the show. He has also enjoyed strong playlist support from Spotify including several New Music Friday adds in the UK. At only 13 years old, John-Robert was handpicked to perform on the Ellen show as a musical child prodigy. At 19, he left his hometown Edinburg, VA (pop. 1,070) in 2019 to move to LA and start his music career, bypassing a scholarship to Berklee. He was signed to Nice Life/Warner by Grammy-nominated producer Ricky Reed (Leon Bridges, Lizzo) and released a handful of singles and EPs over a few years, earning him co-signs from artists Alessia Cara and Camilla Cabello. But it was a live fireside performance of his 2023 song “Come Pick Me Up” that catapulted John-Robert’s lilting blend of traditional folk and Appalachian country into the modern pop landscape. He toured extensively in 2023 and 2024 in the US and abroad supporting artists like Madi Diaz, Rayland Baxter, Leon Bridges, and even Liam Gallagher. Virginia, and his family there, has always been a source of inspiration for the singer-songwriter. On making his 2023 EP Garden Snake he says, “It was like trying to make a Virginia record in LA.” A move back home to Virginia in early 2025 made perfect sense as he embarked on creating a new body of work. The move was a way to pull himself out of the professional and personal turmoil of LA, and reconnect with the people and places that made him who he is today – the banks of the North Fork Shenandoah River and rolling hillsides, the home-cooked meals and close-knit community. Newly independent, he released his EP Cross Stitch in 2025. He has spent the last few months on the road with JOSEPH, Ax and the Hatchetmen, Infinity Song and more. And this year, new music is already on the horizon. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. His new record Feet on Fire captures that period of wild transition, with songs inspired by Chapman's marriage to fellow songwriter Meg McRee and the arrival of the couple's first child. On songs like the guitar-driven title track, Chapman mixes Pink Floyd atmosphere with Crazy Horse crunch, showcasing the full spread of his musical influences. Elsewhere, he tips his hat to his southern roots with the laidback, loping "Out in the Country" and the Stax-sized soul ballad "Missing You." Produced by Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Anderson East, Feet on Fire captures Ben Chapman as we've never heard him before: his back against the wall and his heart full, determined not only to meet the challenges up ahead, but to write about the process, too All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
KGNU presents Dua Saleh on Monday, September 28th - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! LA-based Sudanese-American artist Dua Saleh continues their ascent with Of Earth & Wires, a resolutely warm, spiritual, and frenetic follow-up exploring notions of home, humanity, and renewal. Executive produced by Billy Lemos (SZA, Paris Texas, Tinashe), the album features contributions from Bon Iver, aja monet, Gaidaa, and others. Saleh threads and deconstructs indie, R&B, and electronic pop with flashes of Sudanese folk, UK dance, and baile funk, sounds intrinsic to their story, all held together by ambitious, future-facing production and clear-eyed lyricism. Saleh’s soulful, gritty, shape-shifting style has found fans from The New York Times to NME, alongside their breakout role in the Netflix series Sex Education, making 2024's Ghostly International debut, I SHOULD CALL THEM, a proper arrival. The highly anticipated Of Earth & Wires responds to the moment as both a watershed in their career and an urgent dialogue with struggles faced on a universal level. Beyond mythological references and planetary narratives, with their strongest, most immediate material to date, Saleh makes the case for love above progress and greed, for divine beauty and the enduring flame of the human spirit. VIP Package includes: 1x GA Ticket Early Entry Meet & Greet VIP Laminate Exclusive Merch Item All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. As if rising out of the ocean, her swell of inspiration crests by absorbing everything from traditional Mexican Ranchera music to nineties alternative rock and 21st century indie pop, reaching shore, and leaving a hypnotic hybrid in its wake. In her words, she makes music “for the Latina girls who love Gwen Stefani, Foster the People, and Julieta Venegas, heard all of the classic Latin artists at a quinceañera, and went back to school where everybody was listening to Lana Del Rey.” Following an independent grind, the Mexican-Salvadorian-American singer and songwriter posted up millions of streams on 2021’s Wish You Were Here EP. People appropriately christened her “California girl meets Latina queen.” Along the way, she graced the stages of festivals such as Lollapalooza and BottleRock in addition to supporting Omar Apollo on tour. She further honed a genre-breaking, yet culture-integrating vision with her 2023 EP, Un Millón de Besos. A sought-after songwriter, she has notably penned songs for the likes of Anuel AA, The Warning, and Gwen Stefani, with whom she collaborated on “True Babe” and “Purple Irises” [with Blake Shelton]. Coming full circle in 2024, she paid homage to her grandmother and grandfather on Mar y Tierra EP. It marked her first full Spanish-language effort—produced by GRAMMY® Award-winner Lester Mendez and co-written with Maria Vertiz, Cuco, and León Leiden. Among many highlights, “Sirena” [feat. Cuco] amassed 1.4 million Spotify streams. After organically building an audience, Niko knows who her people are, and she feeds them with her 2025 Ring Ring EP [Atlantic Records] and much more to come. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. They write songs that feel lived in, honest and unapologetic, drawing from their blue collar upbringing and authenticity. Brothers Nick and Ty Talbott have built a name for themselves with their soul stirring lyrics, sibling blood harmonies, and rich melodies that represent the ebbs and flows of love, loss and life. After relocating to the Pacific Northwest, they hit the road relentlessly with their band, building a loyal following and reputation for emotionally charged, high-energy live shows driven by raw storytelling and brother banter. Their music captured the attention of major outlets like, Rolling Stone who praised their sound as “cinematic folk-rock for open highways,” Billboard highlighting their “haunting brotherly harmonies,” and The Boot naming them as a must-listen “for fans of John Mayer, Mumford & Sons, and Jason Isbell.” The band’s latest album, Borderlands, has been praised by Holler as “raw and unapologetic,” marking a new chapter that leans into vulnerability, growth, and the tension between where you’re from and where you’re headed. On his latest album, When I’m Called—his first LP for Fat Possum, and his first as a parent—Fussell returns to a well of music that holds lifelong sentimental meaning, loosely contemplating the passage of time and the procession of life’s unexpected offerings. The album was produced by James Elkington and mixed by Tucker Martine. In addition to Elkington, it features the playing of Ben Whiteley (The Weather Station), Joe Westerlund (Bon Iver, Califone), and others. Blake Mills contributes guitars on several tracks. Joan Shelley and Robin Holcomb provide backing vocals. “…Fussell is the rare contemporary to approach folk in its pure form, shunning self-penned compositions about bummer relationships to concentrate on material handed down from bygone, hardened times.” – The New Yorker “(Fussell) is one of the great magpies of American song, collecting forgotten, tarnished gems with a folklorist’s zeal… his renditions aren’t so much cover versions as composites…” – The Guardian “…maybe the leading interpreter of American folk music right now.” – Ann Powers, NPR All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. His breakout single endlessly caught the attention of Dylan Brady of 100 gecs, leading to the release of his 2023 EP are you sleeping alone again? – a collection of sticky alt-pop anthems and intimate ballads – on Brady’s Atlantic Records imprint Dog Show. In 2024, Bixby released Distance, a euphoric summer track with a Power Rangers–inspired music video. The song became his fastest-growing release, topping a million streams in its first month and reaching #34 on Japan’s Shazam chart. He followed up with Desire (produced by Dylan Brady) and Darling He Lied (featuring Starfall) - a viral breakup ballad that sparked tens of thousands of TikTok videos across Southeast Asia. Following a pair of elevated R&B bangers with longtime collaborator Joshwa (whyy, you know) in 2025, Bixby began rolling out his most fully realized music yet. After crushing his debut performance at 88rising’s Head in the Clouds and a tour in Asia, Bixby released Feel It on in early 2026 - the first single off his long awaited debut album. After a traumatic brain injury gave him a newfound ability to play guitar, he discovered a gift for singing and songwriting. His heartfelt lyrics remind the listener of an old soul riding the highs and lows of the mountains he calls home. Tristan has opened for John Oates, Max McNown, Paul Cauthen, and Thompson Square, amongst others, blending folk-tinged storytelling with the grit of raw country music. Mor: Mor is an indie folk artist from West Virginia whose music turns lived experience into something deeply human and widely relatable. A natural storyteller, he writes with a rare emotional clarity—drawing from a life marked by loss, growth, and resilience, while always leaving room for hope. Blending intimate lyricism with accessible melodies, Mor’s songs feel personal without ever feeling closed-off. His writing invites listeners in, offering honesty without pretense and reflection without despair. Though young, Mor carries himself like an old soul, channeling real moments into songs that resonate far beyond their origins. Since beginning to release music in 2024, Mor has steadily built momentum, connecting with audiences through authenticity and heart. In March, he’ll take another step forward, opening for Buffalo Traffic Jam, continuing to carve out a place for himself as one of indie folk’s most quietly compelling new voices. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents Dead Meadow with Cory Chane and Spade on Tuesday, April 28 -- KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Dead Meadow are a band hailing from Washington D.C, United States who formed in 1998. Since debuting, the band have released seven studio albums and become one of the most respected cult acts in the world of stoner rock. Forming from the ashes of two D.C based bands called The Impossible Five and Colour, the first incarnation of Dead Meadow was formed by guitarist and vocalist Jason Simon, bassist Steve Kille and drummer Mark Laughlin. With their seamless combination of prime 70's heavy metal , 60's psychedelia and lyrics cribbed from Tolkien and Lovecraft, the band signed to Fugazi bassist Joe Lally's record label Tolotta Records in 2000, a mere two years after they formed. Their self-titled debut album followed in the same year, which was so acclaimed that BBC Radio One legend John Peel asked them to record a session for his evening radio show. However, as the band couldn't afford to fly to London and record it, Dead Meadow became the first band in the session's 37 year history to record their session outside of the BBC's studios. 2001 saw the release of their second album “Howls From The Hills” and after the release of their live album “Got Live If You Want It” in 2002, the band signed to Matador Records in 2003, making them labelmates with the likes of Pavement, Guided By Voices and Belle and Sebastian. Ever since then, the band have remained one of the most consistent acts in stoner rock, with seven acclaimed studio albums to their name and a live show that could knock anyone for six. They've earned the respect of the likes of The Brian Jonestown Massacre's Anton Newcombe (no easy feat) and inspired acts like Wolfmother, who reinterpreted the Dead Meadow track “Everything's Goin' On” as “Pilgrim” on their second album “Cosmic Egg”. They're still going from strength to strength over a decade and a half after forming, and for that, Dead Meadow come highly recommended. Frequently described as a happy girl filled with sad songs, Avery puts storytelling first, drawing inspiration from observing the people around her, the media she consumes, and, of course, her own life. She starts each of her songs alone with her piano, eventually working with her close knit team to bring her work to life. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Avery fell in love with music playing piano at seven years old. Since then, she has created a sound around her soft vocals and raw piano ballads focusing on building community through her storytelling and lyricism. Julia Campbell: Julia Campbell is a Los Angeles-based artist, songwriter and producer originally from Philadelphia, PA. She excels at crafting lyrics and concepts, helping artists to shape their rawest emotions and life experiences into distilled, coherent ideas, across genres.
Globe Hall Presents Folk Bitch Trio on Friday, May 15th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Now Would Be A Good Time, their debut album, tells vivid, visceral stories, and is funny and darkly ironic in the manner of writers like Mary Gaitskill or Otessa Moshfegh. Their music sounds familiar, but the songs are modern, youthful, singing acutely through dissociative daydreams and galling breakups, sexual fantasies and media overload, all the petty resentments and minor humiliations of being in your early twenties in the 2020s. “Cathode Ray” opens with caution, its first harmonies arriving in big, looping sighs. It’s vulnerable but a little menacing, with a wide open chorus and a spacious, airy beat anchoring everything. “Moth Song”, a song about unrequited love and “being so spun out by everything that you feel like you’re delusional and hallucinating crazy things,” forms the album’s spare centrepiece, Anita Clark’s undulating violin part drifting in and out of focus as if from a dream. Other songs aren’t as oblique, instead chronicling brutally familiar moments at the end of relationships: The tense, emotionally volatile torch song “The Actor”, says Peverelle, is about “going to your partner’s one-woman show and then getting broken up with”. “Hotel TV”, a hypnotic, late-night reverie, is about “having a sex dream about somebody else while next to your partner, and your partner being a liar,” explains Pilkington. The strongest link between the trio, aside from friendship, is music. “We all talked about loving music when we were growing up, and knowing we wanted music to be a big part of our lives,” says Pilkington. That feeling—of music as an innate calling, as opposed to hobby or folly—was justified: Folk Bitch Trio have already toured across Australia, Europe and the US, supporting bands as disparate as King Gizzard, Alex G and Julia Jacklin. They’ve signed with Jagjaguwar, a home for singular icons and iconoclasts (Bon Iver, Angel Olsen, Sharon Van Etten, UMO and others), and they’ve found their first diehard fans with dazzling harmonies and acerbic lyricism that transcend genre expectations and audience lines. These are the stakes: Learning how to live a life free of lovesickness and loser exes, when to sink into contemporary nihilism and when to have a laugh with your friends, and why being alive can feel so ephemeral and unreal. In this sense, Now Would Be A Good Time feels like a manual for modern living: a missive from three proud Folk Bitches finding beauty and wisdom where they can, together. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
KTCL Channel 93.3 presents Little Image with Mayor Grey on Thursday, June 18th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Throughout a near-decade, Dallas trio little image morphed from a group of perpetually online suburban kids who were obsessed with underground indie rock and had no idea what they wanted to be into the tight-knit outfit you see today. Made up of Jackson Simmons (vocals/guitar), Brandon Walters(bass/synth) and Troy Bruner (drums), the trio truly blossomed during 2020’s lockdown. That extra time allowed the members to fully expand on the promise of their early singles “WORTH IT” and “EGO,” exploring different ways to create a pop-rock song beyond the basic guitar/bass/drums template. This new burst of creativity led to a partnership with Chad Copelin (Sufjan Stevens, 5SOS). Simmons credits Copelin with creating a warm, nurturing studio environment that allowed each member to explore their influences and culminated in the May 2023 release of their debut album SELF TITLED followed by a U.S. headline tour that summer. The album was deliberately sequenced to tell a story of self-doubt, self-reflection and eventually, self-love, and it scored the band their first #1 single alternative radio hit with “OUT OF MY MIND.” All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents El Ten Eleven with ABANDONS on Wednesday, May 6 -- KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! We like to believe our lives can be shaped into stories—clean arcs, legible meaning—but life refuses the outline. Instead, it moves bluntly and without apology, indifferent to our sense of order. Events pile up without resolution, momentum divorced from direction, motion confused for progress. Sometimes the only refuge left is the nowhere of our own minds. El Ten Eleven’s Nowhere Faster, the duo’s 16th release, was forged within that unease. Across eight tracks, it considers not just nothingness but velocity—the strange urgency that propels us forward even when the destination remains unclear. We are committed to acceleration, convinced speed itself might save us. The 33-minute album slows just long enough to pose the harder questions: what are we running from, and what do we think we can outrun? That tension appears even in the album’s artwork, once again created with longtime collaborator Rob Fleming. It depicts a classic liminal space: familiar, anonymous, quietly unsettling. A stained glass-colored building and a streetlamp blur at the edges, suggesting motion that feels less like escape than enclosure—the kind that traps rather than transports. Nowhere Faster emerged from Kristian Dunn and Tim Fogarty’s longest break from touring and recording in their 23 years together, though “break” is something of a misnomer. Dunn’s famously restless creative pace never slowed. Instead, he began writing for not one but two drummers, handing Fogarty one of the most demanding challenges of his career. The record also marks a first for the band, weaving real strings and piano throughout, deepening the palette of what is already one of their most layered works. The album’s titles and sounds draw from moments scattered across the band’s 23-year history. Opener “Uncanny Valley Girl” marks the return of long-retired effects like the delay pedal, stacking basslines into a dense, enveloping wall. It’s a clear-eyed take on AI-era paranoia, anchored by Fogarty’s steady rhythm—snare taut, cymbals gently alive—giving the sci-fi unease something solid to lean on. “Bjork’s Alarm Clock,” meanwhile, takes its title from an insult hurled at the band by a guitarist of a punk band on their first tour; you can almost hear Dunn and Fogarty’s quiet laughter beneath the buoyant bass and bow-scratched strings. Still, Nowhere Faster is not a retreat into nostalgia. El Ten Eleven remains invested in risk and reinvention. The record continues to center Fogarty’s propulsive drumming and Dunn’s bass-driven experimentation: the first four tracks (“side A”) feature electric bass, while the latter half (“side B”) shifts to acoustic bass processed through pedals, subtly altering the album’s emotional weight. “Last Night In The Kitchen” reaches for the slick, sleazy bombast of classic Bond themes, opening new corridors for Dunn’s ever-expanding musical ambitions. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. Their propulsive instrumental solos and warm harmonies combine to grip the listener. Along with bass player Will Pavilonis, sisters Megan (guitar, mandolin, vocals) and Maddie (guitar, banjo, vocals) have forged a new sound that has no equivalent match in the acoustic world today. In May of 2023, The Cody Sisters released their self-titled EP marking a new beginning for the band. It is their first release since parting ways with their former image of “young girls in a family band” and it portrays a sense of maturity and musical understanding that reveals a new dimension to their artistic expression. They set out to explore new sounds and styles while still holding true to their Bluegrass roots, and they have done just that. This new music is an invitation to connect, to feel, and to journey together through original lyrics and captivating instrumental arrangements. With their brand-new Archipelago, The Cody Sisters contineu to refine and explore a sound that is original, exhilarating, and heartwarming all at the same time.
Globe Hall Presents King Tuff with special guest Gabriel Bernini on Saturday, May 9th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! After Smalltown Stardust I was a bit lost. To be honest, I had been a bit lost since 2016. Both Smalltown Stardust and The Other had been departures from my “sound”, and while they were both new sonic places that I needed to explore, neither album was really all that fun when it came to performing them live. Every show I would just be looking forward to playing my older, wilder material. It was just more enjoyable to play! Loudly! So when I decided to make a new record, it only seemed right to go back to what brings me the most joy, which is, Rock & Roll music. I got my Tascam 388 fixed, the same tape machine I had used to record my first album, King Tuff Was Dead. It had been sitting in my parent’s house in Vermont for the past 14 years, but I had finally dragged it out to LA. The first song I recorded on it was “Twisted On A Train”, and I was shocked by how instantly I sounded, and felt, like myself again. In fact, I wrote and recorded the whole dang song in the span of a few hours, which was basically the opposite of how I had been working in the computer. Spending hours moving waveforms around like a zombie, comping vocals, second guessing, trying to make things sound not lifeless, trying to make anything sound good at all, took months. But here on the tape it was so much more alive. More like painting or collaging. More like making actual music. Every move I made stuck like super glue. It was effortless. It was pure joy. I stopped caring if there were mistakes. There’s not enough mistakes. I played my old, blue, Gibson SG, Jazijoo, and she spewed mangled electrified gold. For once, I sang and I didn’t hate my voice. I played the drums badly and bounced them in mono to one track and it sounded like glorious shit. I wish it sounded even worse. Rock & Roll is the music of rodents and bugs. It should sound like it crept from a decrepit trashcan or a crypt or a toilet. It is not chill or vibey, autotuned or on the grid. It is not perfect, which is why it’s perfect. And I don’t care if it’s dead or alive, cool or uncool: when I hear it, and when I play it, as a chubby and balding 43 year old punk weirdo, I FEEL ENERGIZED. MOO would turn out to be the last music I made as a resident of LA. I had been thinking of leaving for awhile, and a number of things finally sent me on my way. I moved back to Vermont and it’s been wonderful. The lyrics, and obviously the title, started to make a lot more sense once I got back east. It was like the world had been shouting “MOO” at me for years, and I finally listened. All in all, MOO is a full circle moment. A return to form. A return to rock. A return to Vermont. A return to myself. Reconnecting the dots. Restarting the engine. Plugging in the stack. Finally letting King Tuff be King. Fucking. Tuff. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents Robert Lester Folsom with special guest Kassi Valazza on Saturday, May 23 -- Sunshine Only Sometimes: Archives Vol. 2, 1972-1975 continues Anthology Recordings' excavation, and exploration, of southern singer, songwriter, and psychedelic serviceman Robert Lester Folsom's bountiful archives. Recorded across Georgia in various bedrooms, a barn, and a motel room with a reel-to-reel and a revolving cast of whip smart studio musicians in the first half of a dazed and confused decade, Sunshine Only Sometimes furthers Folsom's place in the canon of long lost but eventually found independently spirited, high-flying American folk rock. When Anthology's reissue of Music and Dreams, the sole contemporaneous album released in 1976 by Folsom, surfaced in 2010, little else was known of Folsom's nearly five-decade deep archive of unreleased demos and fully formed studio recordings. Born and raised in Adel, Georgia — both then, and now, a sleepy hamlet with a population of less than 5,000 — Folsom was fortunate to be minded after extremely supportive parents. Exhibiting a precocious affinity for music, things went widescreen when he observed the same ferry from 'cross the Mersey as many others of his generation, carrying the four musical moptops to their paradigm shifting appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. Soon thereafter, Folsom began religiously absorbing every morsel of musical output The Fab Four offered, as well as that of their contemporaries. Yet, it wasn't long before observation transformed into a motivation to create. Even a children's record player bought by his parents as a gift to him was traded off to a neighborhood friend for a stringless, disheveled guitar (which Folsom's father shined to prime and function for him in short order). As time went on, Folsom's innate drive and field of vision broadened; he began enlisting neighborhood friends, classmates, and family members to fulfill his small-scale musical dreams, which would increase in weight with the passage of days. Over the next several years, while employing ingenious, home brewed over-dubbing techniques with his "love at first sight," a Sears 3440 two-track reel-to-reel tape recorder, Folsom served as the de facto producer/arranger for any and all scrappy garage band or aspiring singer songwriter in the radius of Adel. Abetted by his mobile recording unit, across a number of unusual locations, and assisted by guitarist and collaborator Hans VanBrackle, this period produced the bounty of Folsom's self-penned compositions which make up Ode to a Rainy Day and Sunshine Only Sometimes. And eventually, this period of woodshedding led to the formation of his rural-tinged, progressive, southern rock outfit Abacus. Though carrying Folsom's own singular sound and vision, Music and Dreams, in equal measure, chartered the seas of smooth West Coast AOR before the yachts to come, while tracing the distinctly Californian sound of Laurel Canyon singer-songwriter soft rock Americana, which tussled on the waters before the large vessels overtook the big blue. Folsom's earlier compositions found on Sunshine Only Sometimes reflect a darker-hued mixture of mellow folk, downer vibes, and rural tones, revealing his talent for melody and hook was intact far before Music and Dreams, with a keen sense of introspection making the dark and light equally resonant. Sunshine Only Sometimes offers up another sterling set of tonally-shifting, sub-underground, alternate timeline classic rock. KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. Born of a spontaneous writing session during a winter storm blackout, the band wandered naturally into the land of heavy beats, lyrics with an element of storytelling, and synth-folk instrumentation with a twist. Lush and astutely layered, what began as an exploration of the outer edges of Americana has evolved into a cohesive, enchanting artistic statement. With a spate of national tours, festivals, and live performances under their belt, songwriters Nathan and Sophia Hamer conjure up layered soundscapes, “looping keys, beats, percussion effortlessly in an electric, raucous live performance” (Atwood Magazine). Receiving praise from the likes of Under The Radar, Magnet, and Big Takeover, Babes In Canyon’s debut album “The New Loud” released in the fall of 2025. The SoCal three-piece was formed around garage jam sessions and earned their cult following through the intense vitality of their live shows. First starting to release music in 2019, it was the band’s second EP Visons in 2021 that took them from a hometown secret to a band to watch nationally. Foxtide has previously played alongside The Backseat Lovers, Echo & The Bunnymen, Lime Cordiale, Sarah and the Sundays, Mustard Service, Beach Goons, and joined the lineup of Shabang, Nothing Fest, and more. Moving into the chapter of their next project, Foxtide is abandoning the idea that they need to create “perfect” music, and simply making what they like to listen to. Tinged with the aloofness of early 2000s rock, while experimenting with the formulas of modern pop, all threads are knotted in the authenticity behind Foxtide’s unrelenting love for music. The band's third EP 'Paradise' helped them secure critical looks from Fashionably Early 'Bands that Deserve to be Bigger', Luna Collective Magazine, and their debut LA headline show selling out. Their most recent record earned them the cover of Fashionably Early's playlist as well as their first editorial look from Spotify in 'All New Rock,' and Apple's 'New In Rock' and 'New In Alternative.' On the heels of the deluxe version, the band secured support tours with Arcy Drive, Pity Party Girls Club, and more to be announced. Foxtide has most recently signed a record deal with Position Music, and is gearing up for their second full length LP. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. Since debuting in 2023, he’s continued to shape a sound that blends raw vulnerable folk with a modern, aggressive rock, inviting listeners into the heart of his experiences. From writing solo to collaborating with fellow artists and songwriters Chance Emerson and Vincent Lima, as well as producer Jack Riley (previous work with Cameron Whitcomb and Grace VanderWaal), Ike has cultivated a creative circle that advances his word-choice-driven songwriting while keeping authenticity at its core. In doing so, Ike has created a community of fans that resonate similarly, finding connection and validation through his vulnerability. Remaining proudly independent, Ike has been releasing new singles song by song for over two years, now surpassing over 1 million listeners on Spotify in the first half of 2025 across 15+ original songs in his release discography. There's an immense growing anticipation for what’s ahead for Dweck, with plans to step into touring as a headliner for the first time next year, build his own Brooklyn-proud merchandising brand, and activating his fanbase of more than 3.5 million followers with a bootstraps methodology. Ike Dweck stands poised to become one of the most compelling new voices in modern indie-folk. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
KGNU presents Twen with Monsoon on Saturday, May 2nd -- KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Everything about TWEN is hands-on. Ian produces, engineers, and mixes their albums. Jane designs every visual element, from videos, to posters, to merch. They’ve screen-printed their own shirts, booked their own tours, edited their own films, and built their tour van into a full-time mobile home. Their 2022 LP One Stop Shop wasn’t just a title, it was the truth. Even now, as their reach has expanded to a sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre show, opening arena tours, and having played 500+ shows across North America and Europe, they’ve kept full control. It’s proof you can exist outside the system and still make something that is current and alive. “TWEN, named after a post-war German magazine; a slang term for people in their twenties, has a sound that’s at once modern and nostalgic. Per the band, it’s '1965, 1995 and 2025 all at the same time.'" - Jax Today Written across highways & coastlines, their latest LP 'Fate Euphoric' isn’t nostalgic, though it nods to Britpop, psych, and new wave. It sounds more like the past filtered through the noise of right now. If 'One Stop Shop'pointed out the problems of the 2020s from a first person perspective, 'Fate Euphoric' takes a bird’s-eye view, seeking comfort in the cosmic wheel that will always keep spinning. TWEN are a band in flux, and that’s the point. The van is still home, but the studio is wherever the signal feels right. The fate might be uncertain, but for now, it’s euphoric Fate Euphoric is available on election day, November 4, 2025 via the band's own label Twenterprises. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
