Globe Hall Presents The Wildwoods on Sunday, October 18th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! The Wildwoods, hailing from Lincoln, Nebraska, continue to bring sonic beauty and simplicity to today’s increasingly complicated and cluttered musical landscape. With Dear Meadowlark, the band’s fourth full-length album released on April 11, 2025, The Wildwoods have once again taken the hallmarks of the folk-Americana sound and dressed it in indie sensibilities a la heroes Nickel Creek and Gillian Welch as well as genre mainstays Bon Iver and Mumford & Sons. And yet, at its core, Dear Meadowlark is about three 20-something musicians celebrating the emotional allure of familiarity and comfort. “The main lyrical theme of the album is the appreciation for our home state of Nebraska and the homesickness that can come with long periods spent on the road,” says Noah Gose. The Wildwoods are Noah Gose on vocals, acoustic and electric guitar; his wife, Chloe Gose on vocals and violin; and longtime friend Andrew Vaggalis on vocals and upright bass. Their delicate embrace of the past, present, and future has transformed The Wildwoods into a potent entity. Recently, The Wildwoods were finalists in the 2024 Rocky Mountain Songwriter Contest in Red Lodge, Montana. In 2023, the trio enjoyed being finalists in two high-profile band competitions – FreshGrass Music Festival and VHS “Gems in the Rough.” Also, their songwriting strengths have been recognized by semi-final placements in the International Songwriting competition with tracks such as “Untitled” and “Way of Train.” All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. Born in New York, Stephen spent his early childhood in a small town on Cape Cod before moving to San Francisco. He began piano lessons at 4-years-old, started writing original songs by fourth grade, and in High School joined jazz band and learned how to produce. Stephen was first discovered as a freshman in college when he recorded an acoustic rendition of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” that exploded with over 200 million Spotify streams and over 50 million views on YouTube. Since then, he has released two EPs titled “Up At Night” and “The Day We Met” and a handful of tracks including “Reputation,” “Irregular” and “Symptoms.” In early 2025, Stephen was the opening act for Matt Hansen’s European tour, and also opened for Griff in 2024 on the Vertigo Tour. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents The Cactus Blossoms with Margo Cilker on Saturday, November 7th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! The Cactus Blossoms: At its best, harmony duo singing can transform simple math into a magic trick. One plus one, instead of equaling two, suddenly yields an unexpected third thing. An upper-case ONE. A universal hum. A deep vibration that encompasses two different points of view. On their latest release, Every Time I Think About You, brothers Jack Torrey and Page Burkum, aka The Cactus Blossoms, once again prove themselves to be among the most adept – and distinctive – modern practitioners of that magic. But like any great magician, The Cactus Blossoms can’t – or won’t – fully explain the illusion they create. “Harmonies are a big part of our sound, but in some ways they’re the part we focus on the least,” says Burkum. “We put most of our attention and energy into the songs themselves and then the harmonies just happen.” There’s all kinds of magic happening on Every Time I Think About You, a record that sounds more like a band than any other in the Cactus Blossoms discography, thanks to contributions from Jeremy Hanson (drums), Jacob Hanson (guitar) and Phillip Hicks (bass). “There She Goes” casts its romantic regret against a danceable bop beat, and the title track is a heart-wrencher about loss and letting go. “Even if you don’t set out to write songs with a theme in mind it seems like one usually presents itself,” says Torrey. “This record keeps returning to the idea of ‘moving on’ — from one place to another, from people and situations that bring you down, from loss and grief.” Margo Cilker: Hailed as "the future Lucinda Williams of the West" (Bandcamp Daily), Margo Cilker writes country-classic songs that hum with ancestry and expanse, turning grief — both personal and collective — into something restorative. Cilker was raised in the fifth generation of a California orchard family and is now based in the rural Pacific Northwest, making music rooted in a deep reverence for the land and those who came before. The release of her stunning 2021 debut Pohorylle saw Rolling Stone proclaim, "Cilker shows that she is as interested in reinvigorating Southern country-folk storytelling tropes as she is in exposing their flaws," and Pitchfork deemed her a "country artist who pushes against conventions of the genre." Her highly acclaimed sophomore record Valley of Heart's Delight landed on Best Albums of 2023 lists across the U.S. and UK, with NPR Music praising, "Cilker's sound is classic cowboy country, but her sensibility is totally now." As she readies her next project, Cilker draws on the deep tradition of Texas singer-songwriters, having traveled to Lockhart to record with Bruce Robison — the writer and producer behind work by Charley Crockett, Lee Ann Womack, George Strait, and The Chicks. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents The Lowest Pair on Wednesday, September 23rd. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! The Lowest Pair has questions. The duo, made up of Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee, know that we tend to see duality as a problem. We want life to be linear, working through the dark to finally get to the light. Grief to joy, despair to hope, confusion to clarity––not a jangly cycle we can’t escape. But through their incandescent folk songs, the Lowest Pair often ask: What if we sit with the mess? What if that’s not just more peaceful, but more magical, too? On their 8th album Always As Young As We’ll Ever Be, the Lowest Pair prove that over the last dozen years together, they’ve become some of modern roots music’s most mesmerizing, thoughtful purveyors. Produced by Tucker Martine (The Decemberists), the 10-track album puts the duo’s stark lyricism, string-driven arrangements, and raw compatibility on brilliant display. “We’re both trying to make space for each other rather than crowd each other out,” Lee says, reflecting on why the Lowest Pair works. “We’re doing a lot of listening and reacting to what the other person is doing.” Lee’s speaking voice is a comforting echo of his singing voice, soft and precise. Winter talks like she sings, too, sweet and raspy. Heard together, the effect is both soothing and scintillating, like a crisp mountain stream smoothing rocks. The Lowest Pair’s musicianship is another beautiful testament not just to playing that breathes, but playing that listens. Winter, who grew up in Arkansas but has lived in Washington State for the last two decades, and Lee, a Minnesota native, first gained attention as poetic singer-songwriters on banjos. While their family of strings has expanded––Winter plays more guitar on the new record than she ever has before––their fundamental approach hasn’t: Respond to sounds and stories the other is making. As a result, Always As Young As We’ll Ever Be pulses with life. Album opener “Give It All Away” glows warm and bright with strings and synths as Winter and Lee consider harsh seasons and humanity’s short memories. “It’s this idea of cycles and knowing there’s dark and light, and it’s going to change,” says Winter. “When it’s good, notice it. When it’s bad, know it’s going to change. I spend a lot of time reminding myself that––and still being surprised by it.” “If I listen to somebody else’s record, it’s easy for me to have favorite songs, but if it’s something we’ve made, it’s about all the pieces being in relationship to the other pieces,” Lee says of the album. “It’s about being okay with the heaviness and seeing the light that’s associated with the darkness. I hope it helps people not feel alone in the heavy things.” All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents Bryan Andrews with Lou Ridley on Thursday, December 3rd. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Bryan Andrews is one of country music's most outspoken new voices, using sharp songwriting and unapologetic storytelling to challenge expectations of what the genre can say and stand for. Hailing from Carrollton, Missouri, the progressive country artist has built a devoted following by pairing blue collar authenticity with fearless social commentary, reaching millions with songs that confront inequality, patriotism, and the realities of modern America. As Bryan puts it, "History will be told, and it will be through art." Before pursuing music full time, Bryan spent four and a half years working as a pipe welder. Those experiences continue to shape his perspective as a songwriter. Raised in a musical family, his father was a high school band teacher and his mother a choir teacher. He grew up surrounded by music and eventually blended that foundation with the working class values and lived experiences that define his artistry today. That approach has struck a powerful chord with audiences, helping Bryan amass more than 3.8 million TikTok followers and 1.4 million Instagram followers while earning recognition from Rolling Stone, Billboard, NBC News, Don Lemon, MusicRow, and more. His breakout track "The Older I Get" topped Billboard's Country Digital Song Sales, Digital Song Sales, and Emerging Artists charts, cementing him as one of the genre's fastest rising independent artists. In 2026, Bryan marks America's 250th anniversary with his mixtape Independence Day, an eight song collection that continues his mission of examining the country's promises and contradictions through country music. The project features two new songs, "Home of the Chained" and "Backwoods Backwards," alongside viral favorites including "Are We Great Yet?," "Yeehaw," "Not See," and "The Older I Get." Bryan is also taking his message directly to fans on the Taking My Flag Back U.S. headline tour, which kicks off on Election Day in Washington, D.C., with support from Lou Ridley before traveling across the country through December. Continuing his commitment to advocacy beyond the stage, a portion of proceeds from the tour will benefit a charity to be announced. The effort follows his ICE Out of My Country Damn Tour, which donated proceeds to Human Rights First in support of immigrant and refugee rights. Whether writing about small town life, economic inequality, or the meaning of patriotism, Bryan Andrews is redefining what country music can sound like and who it can speak for. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. Their close familial bond is evident in their tight-knit musical arrangements and rich, emotive harmonies. The group has released two studio albums, Thrilled to Be Here (2019), produced by John Congelton, and Tired Hearts (2023), produced by Brad Cook. Both albums showcase their knack for crafting infectious melodies and introspective lyrics, earning them critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base. Their debut album was hailed by Rolling Stone as an “impressive debut”, in which they were compared to CSN, Fleetwood Mac, TLC, and Haim. Their catalog has over 50 million streams, and their song “I Was Wrong” reached the top 20 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Chart. Additionally, NPR voted their song “Something Tells Me” #5 on the Best Songs of 2019. The band has made several TV appearances as featured artists, performing on the CBS Morning Show and The Today Show. They’ve also had the privilege of working with so many artists they admire, releasing collaborations with Amos Lee and Trousdale in 2024. In addition to their studio work, BAILEN is renowned for their engaging live performances, which feature a blend of heartfelt ballads and high-energy anthems. With a history of touring with the likes of Hozier, Amos Lee, The Lone Bellow, and many more, their stage presence and chemistry have made them a standout act at various music festivals and venues across the country. Currently, BAILEN is preparing to release their third full-length album, which they engineered and produced themselves with collaborators Jake Sinclair (Panic! At The Disco), Riccardo Damian (Sampha), and Chris Tabron (The Strokes).
Globe Hall Presents Jai'Len Josey On Thursday, October 8th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Jai’Len Josey weaves a vibrant, vulnerable, and vital patchwork of sounds and experiences together in her music. All kinds of romantic happenings and mis-happenings replay across a soundscape steeped in styles as diverse as R&B, hip-hop, old school Detroit House, and even timeless musical theater. This kaleidoscope of vibes projects her personality out loud not only as a Platinum-selling singer-songwriter, musician, and Broadway star, but also as a confident and charismatic woman, impassioned poet, and visionary creator. Rewinding back to high school, she often watched YouTube videos and vocally mimed instruments like cello, bass, and flute to develop a distinct delivery that would later serve her well. Given her versatility, she went from shining on Broadway as “Pearl” in The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage! to launching a successful solo career. She sharpened an incomparable signature style on Illustrations EP [2020] and SOUTHERN DELICACY EP [2023]. Emerging as an in-demand songwriter behind-the-scenes, she penned a pair of songs on Ari Lennox’s Age/Sex/Location, including the platinum-certified “Pressure.” Hitting the road, Lennox handpicked her as support on the Age/Sex/Location Tour. Moreover, she received acclaim from the likes of Billboard, VIBE, Rated R&B, YouKnowIGotSoul, ESSENCE, Okayplayer, and more. Now, she seamlessly wraps all of her emotions and experiences into one cohesive body of work on her full-length debut LP, Serial Romantic[Def Jam Recordings]. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. With a sound that fuses Americana soul, heartland rock muscle, and country grit, they don’t just blur genre lines—they stomp right over them. On stage, the band is pure wildfire - raw, unfiltered, and impossible to ignore, lighting up festivals like Stagecoach, Born & Raised, and Mile 0 Fest and opening for acts such as Wyatt Flores and 49 Winchester. Their 2025 album American Grin turned the heat up even further, marrying groove and grit with sharp, lived-in storytelling. As Rolling Stone puts it, the Oklahoma band are “taking an honest, and often humorous, look at a U.S. existence,” while Holler calls American Grin “a masterpiece not only in sound but in substance… a roadmap for this weird and wonderful ride of existence.” As a follow-up, their viral hit “Too Good Too Bad” quickly caught the attention of Morgan Wallen, landing them several opening slots on his stadium ‘Still The Problem Tour’. Named Texas Emerging Group of the Year at the 2025 Texas Music Awards, also have a slew of their own headline dates across the country.
Globe Hall Presents Theo Kandel on Thursday, September 24th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Theo Kandel manages to slow life down just long enough to write songs about it. With his quick wit and fingerstyle guitar, the New York-based singer-songwriter has been patiently gathering a loyal audience around the world, earning cosigns from some of the other rising talent in the folk scene along the way. Now, he seeks to make sense of life’s extremes aloud on his sophomore full-length LP, A Horse Named Friday [Nettwerk Music Group]. “I realized much of this new album was either informed by the really low lows or the really high highs of life,” he observes. “But happiness, sadness, anger, anxiety – all of these emotions are ultimately fleeting. It’s a comforting thing to understand you’re always moving forward, even if it doesn’t feel like it.” His full-length debut LP Eating & Drinking & Being in Love was released in 2024 to wide acclaim. OnesToWatch raved, “Using his folk-meets rock spirit to capture what means most, Kandel’s debut is the perfect soundtrack for saying goodbye to summer nights and welcoming in the change of fall,” and Melodic Magazine hailed it as “a simple, yet moving debut.” In the midst of that album cycle, Theo shared the stage with artists like Rayland Baxter, Evan Honer, Jordy Searcy, Briscoe, Max McNown, and The Script. If Eating & Drinking & Being in Love highlighted the small, quiet, and often uncelebrated moments in life, then A Horse Named Friday does the opposite: it deals in peaks and valleys. “Back in August 2024, one of my best friends passed away out of nowhere,” he says. “I’d known him since I was five. The next day, I flew out for another friend’s wedding. It was a crazy emotional rollercoaster to go on over the course of a week. And almost one year later, I lost another friend.” “It’s the thesis of the record,” he declares. “I wanted it to be full of juxtapositions between good and bad moments. I tried to translate how jarring it felt when Oliver died. It leaves you with the understanding that no matter what tangent you may think you’re veering off on, you should always be confident that you’re going somewhere. None of these emotions last forever.” The opener “A Horse Named Friday” rolls into town on a fingerstyle guitar reminiscent of the old American folk scene. Theo ponders, “I step into the river, I cannot step in twice, for I am not the same man, and it flows into the night.” “Despite your side quests and many deviations from the path, you're still pushing forward,” he affirms. “It’s the classic hero's journey where the hero has the moment of impetus, leaves for a quest, and comes back home. However, home isn't the same because he is not the same person anymore. It’s a wandering song.” In the end, Theo invites listeners to wander alongside him. “When you listen to the record, I want you to feel like you’ve been on a journey,” he says. “By sharing my own journey, I believe I was able to do right by my friends who are no longer here.” All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Indie 102.3 presents Tré Burt on Saturday, August 29th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Tré Burt is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter with Sacramento roots whose music bridges folk, soul, and Americana with unflinching emotional depth. Signed to John Prine’s Oh Boy Records, he emerged with the album Caught It From the Rye (2020), a lo-fi, poetic debut that established him as one of the label’s few new voices. His follow-up, You, Yeah, You (2021), written in isolation during the pandemic and produced by Brad Cook, explored grief, justice, and renewal through a richer sonic lens. In 2023, Burt released Traffic Fiction, a bold expansion that blended punk, dub, and soul influences while remaining rooted in storytelling. The album wove in field recordings of conversations with his late grandfather, transforming memory into music and grief into light. Co-Produced by Andrija Tokic in Nashville, it marked Burt’s most sonically adventurous work to date. Now, Burt is stepping into a new creative era; self-contained, raw, and deeply personal. Returning to his DIY beginnings with newfound confidence, he locked himself away to write, play, engineer, and produce every single layer of his new music entirely by himself. This evolution marks a beautiful intersection where he merges the intimacy of his early folk work with a broader, lo-fi indie and electronic palette. Taking the time to experiment on the production side became the gateway for Tré to truly define his own sound, landing in a mesmerizing pocket alongside artists like mk.gee, Dijon, and Bon Iver. This new chapter is spearheaded by the double single "Sands of Slime" and "Butcher Baby." Far more than just a sonic pivot, the release introduces a cryptic, self-contained mythology unfolding visually as a surreal detective noir.
Globe Hall Presents Katie Pruitt on Friday, November 6th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Less than a decade into her career, Katie Pruitt has cemented her status as an essential artist who helps us make sense of modern life and uncover meaningful ways of moving through it. Since the arrival of her critically celebrated full-debut Expectations (a 2020 LP that earned her an Emerging Artist of the Year nomination from the Americana Music Association), the Georgia-bred singer/songwriter/guitarist has assembled an acclaimed body of work exploring questions both existential and intimate (e.g., identity, self-acceptance, the quiet courage of living truthfully). On her new album Fools for the Fleeting, the Nashville-based musician reckons with the impermanence inherent to being human, shifting between poetic observation and confessional storytelling as she confronts such complex matters as ecological anxiety, love’s intrinsic fragility, and the profound isolation normalized by our increasingly digitized existence. Her third full-length and follow-up to 2024’s Mantras, Fools for the Fleeting emerged from Pruitt’s vision of creating an album that feels “rooted to the earth”—a concept closely tied to the LP’s underlying theme of nature as a mirror for our inner lives. A prime showcase for her warm and soulful voice, the 10-song set centers on a powerful yet intentional form of Americana/indie-rock, steeped in acoustic instrumentation and the beautifully imperfect friction of live performance, courtesy of musicians like Juan Solorzano (a guitarist known for his work with Ruston Kelly and Parker Millsap) and Aksel Coe (a drummer who’s played with Ella Langley and Sierra Ferrell). As Pruitt’s most outward-reaching and philosophically rich work to date, the result is a luminous meditation on transience and grief, connection as survival, and the transformative power of presence and surrender. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents Elizabeth Nichols on Sunday, October 4th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Elizabeth Nichols is a singer-songwriter who, in just a few short months since moving to Nashville, has accumulated millions of streams with her clever turn of phrases and unabashed take on life in the modern age. Born in Texas, raised in Louisville, Kentucky and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma and… Australia, Nichols has lived a lot of life in her 23 years and channels her observations and experiences into her songs, often infusing commentary on everything from society and small-town life to current cultural trends into her lyrics. Nichols burst onto the scene with the online phenomenon “I Got a New One” and has been building a fan base and online presence of 1M+ with each release with original songs like “Trailer Treasure,” “Bad Taste” and “Somebody Cooked Here” each of them delivered in a sweet drawl that's both relatable and disarming. Her sparky release, “Mama” seamlessly blends a broad-minded cheekiness (reminiscent of Kacey Musgrave's Same Trailer Different Park-era) with a Toby Keith brashness and has accumulated 8 million views online. It's not just fans who are taking notice, the astute wordsmith has piqued the interest of the industry landing on a slew of “artist to watch” lists including Amazon Music, Pandora, Country Now, Taste of Country, Women of Country, Holler, Entertainment Focus, All Country News, Country Minuteand more. Nichols also captured the attention of Kelly Clarkson who covered “I Got A New One” on her show and the buzz surrounding her performance and Elizabeth's reaction catapulted the song to the No. 1 song on the Country iTunes chart for multiple weeks. She released her debut EP, Tough Love in June and has already followed it up with new releases including “Sweet Cigarette,” the gut-punching “Daughter,” cheeky ditty “Little Birds” and even cheekier “Oh The Things Men Do.” Nichols is continuing to create new music while also hitting the pavement to perform live. Since putting law school on pause in January 2025, she has performed on several bucket list worthy stages including the legendary Blue Bird Cafe, The Grand Ole Opry, CMA Fest, Stagecoach, Kentucky Derby and The Kelly Clarkson Show and supported artists like Little Big Town, Russell Dickerson, Wyatt Flores and more.
Globe Hall Presents Anna Graves with Patrick Dethlefs on Tuesday, September 29th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Anna Graves is an alt-folk artist whose music casts spells through storytelling. Raised on a farm in southern Minnesota, she left home chasing big dreams and bright lights, only to return years later and rediscover the mystical magic that first sparked her songwriting. Her sound weaves cinematic pop melodies with folk intimacy where vulnerability transforms into power, and heartbreak alchemizes into healing. With over 25 million global streams and syncs in the Golden Globe-nominated series Nobody Wants This, as well as Brilliant Minds, and Chicken Sisters, Graves has built a devoted following through authentic connection rather than traditional industry machinery. Her most recent single “Hollow Bones” has 1.6M streams driven entirely by fan passion, with 15K+ TikTok creates (18M+ views) sparking organic trends across witchtok and home aesthetic communities. The track resonated so deeply that Shaboozey selected it as one of his five favorite songs for Harper’s Bazaar. She’s opened for legends like Stevie Nicks, The Head and the Heart, and Maren Morris, bringing her intimate acoustic storytelling to stages across North America. Now signed to Rounder Records, Graves returns with Burn On, a song she first wrote in high school, rediscovered on an old computer, and reimagined with producer Davis Naish (Forest Blakk, Thomas Day, Betany Cosentino, Maggie Rose). The result is a haunting anthem of rediscovery that feels both ancient and urgent, grounded in Minnesota soil but reaching toward something universal. Where folk music meets mystical storytelling, where farm life intersects with literary fantasy that’s where you’ll find Anna Graves, singing songs for the haunted and the hopeful. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. The members later reconvened in San Francisco, where the project rose to prominence in the bay area music scene, eventually gaining wider attention with the release of their debut record’s 'Gutter Girl' music video, which made its way to the front page of Reddit and catapulted the group to the international stage. There are the nods to the playfulness and vibrancy of PinkPantheress and NewJeans, though tinged with something jazzier and fluid, a willingness to freestyle that’s characteristic of a distinctly American ethos. And yet these are all disparate definitions, and calling something “everything” is only helpful when you have the piece that binds it all together. On Mott Street in New York’s Chinatown, a neighborhood that’s become a kind of homebase for the many facets of their work, a vision began to crystallize. One day a few years ago, Grace Dumdaw and Lance and Matthew Tran went out busking downtown, something clicked, and Chanpan was born. A disillusionment with working in various political spaces early in their careers led to a pivot to alternative modes of expression and change. In seeking something more immediate and loose, they turned to music, freeing themselves from the expectation that every choice should have a literal meaning, even if said choices are deliberate and specific. Though the music is a means, it’s not a means to an end. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. Formed in Brisbane, the four-piece have built a reputation for high-voltage performances and tightly crafted songwriting delivered with urgency and honesty. Their sophomore album Wound Up (2026) has marked a defining moment for the band, debuting at #2 on the ARIA Australian Albums Chart and capturing the full scope of their sound; sharp, immediate, and unafraid to show its edges. The release follows two early EP’s and debut album Legal Speed (2024) which laid the foundation for Radium Dolls, earning critical acclaim and a Queensland Album of the Year nomination. Having steadily grown from a cult live act into one of the country’s most talked-about new rock bands, they consistently sell out their headline tours and have cemented their reputation on stage. Their breakout track “Tractor Parts” has surpassed one million streams and caught the attention of tastemaker Derrick Gee, who named Radium Dolls his “favourite band of the moment,” helping introduce the band to a growing international audience.
Globe Hall Presents Tōth with William Alexander on Thursday, October 15th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Tōth’s paradoxical third album, And The Voice Said is a prayer to be able to pray, a meditation on why he meditates, a collection of jokes about what he holds sacred. “I’ve always felt conflicted about my spiritual strivings,” Tōth explains. “I never wanted to identify as a Buddhist because Buddhism is supposed to be about non-identity. There’s a classic Buddhist line: ‘If you see the Buddha, kill the Buddha!’ This album is my attempt to kill the Buddha.” Toth's path to this album has been anything but linear. After early struggles with addiction and run-ins with the law, Toth found salvation in music, co-founding Rubblebucket in college and building a joyful collective that became his lifeline. Getting sober while navigating a very public breakup and maintaining the creative partnership taught him that spiritual seeking isn't about transcendence – it's about staying. With Rubblebucket on indefinite hiatus, Tōth is ready to focus his full energy on his solo work: music that doesn't bypass the messy human work of choosing life, choosing love, choosing embodiment. For a character as enigmatic as Tōth, “killing the Buddha” might mean closing their shows with audience-wide singalongs of the mantra “Open your heart to the universe.” “It’s hard to explain in theory,” Tōth says, laughing. “But in the room, everyone seems to understand. It’s an absurd and joyous thing to sing. For many reasons most of us need that message. Not to be lofty but there’s way too much hate and violence in the world and it starts with the closing of our individual hearts. My personal default can be so negative and self-loathing and it feels nice to sing something I need to hear.” That duality – humor and holiness, irony and sincerity – runs through the album, which features a duet with Kimbra and is co-produced by Grammy-nominated artist Caroline Rose. He describes Rose as a kindred spirit, “deeply in touch with vibe and emotion but also a technician in every area of their life.” Rose brought the same meticulous energy to production as to fixing Feist’s car (which they worked on between album sessions). “They produce with that same energy.” Across the album, Tōth swings between the buoyant self-reassurance of “Not Broken” to the spiraling doubt that follows, taps into the zeitgeist with “Ice Cream” and into his inner voices with “Triangle People.” His trumpet blares fanfare and alarm. As the record closes, he’s found a fragile kind of weightless, trembling peace. It’s clear Tōth hasn’t killed the Buddha. His assassination attempts fail gloriously. The self and all its torment remains. But And The Voice Said leaves behind so much beauty that, for a moment, you might believe having a self isn’t so bad. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents The Wilder Blue with Racyne Parker on Thursday, July 23rd. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! “There is music. And then there is The Wilder Blue, who feel so transcendent, they’re in a category all of their own.” —Saving Country Music The Wilder Blue began in 2019 when Zane Williams, already a seasoned troubadour with seven solo albums under his belt, pulled together a select group of multi-talented musicians from the Texas music scene. Their debut album Hill Country (2020) and its follow-up The Wilder Blue (2022) garnered comparisons to early Eagles and '80s-era Alabama by interweaving five-part harmonies with bluegrassy arrangements of folk-rock and country songs. Twenty years before he was fronting a break-out band, Zane Williams was a solo coffeehouse performer and aspiring songwriter in Nashville. After moving back to his native Texas in 2008 he eventually became a dancehall staple and respected songwriter with cuts by the likes of Pat Green, Kevin Fowler, and Cody Johnson. To the surprise of his fans (and the bemusement of his booking agent), Zane announced the formation of the new group in 2019 by soliciting band names from his fans and promising lifetime free tickets to anyone whose suggestion was picked. (The winning name “Hill Country” had to be changed just after the release of their first album due to a trademark conflict, but the winner is still on the guest list for life!) Multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Andy Rogers was the only member of Zane’s former band to join the new group. Born and raised in Lebanon, TN, Rogers learned bluegrass chops from an early age and excelled on bass, banjo, dobro, guitar, and just about anything with strings. Rogers moved to Denton, TX in 2004 to study jazz bass at the University of North Texas and made a long-term home in the eclectic arts community he found there. Playing in a series of rock and country gigs eventually led him to join the Zane Williams band on bass and vocals in 2016. Looking over the Texas music scene for likely bandmates, Williams sent a text to a singer-songwriter and lead guitar player whose voice had caught his ear a few years before on local radio. Paul Eason was ensconced at the time in a comfortable guitar gig with Texas staple Kevin Fowler but was immediately intrigued by the notion of joining forces. Originally from Houston, TX but living at the time in San Antonio, Eason fronted various bands beginning in his teens and released two solo albums in the early 2000s before joining the Fowler band full time. A third solo album followed in 2016, which showcased his distinctive lead vocals, southwestern aesthetics, and impeccable guitar playing. Eason, in turn, vividly recalled meeting a singing drummer named Lyndon Hughes who had been with the Roger Creager band. Eason and Williams paid a visit to the studio in the Woodlands, TX where Hughes was working as an engineer, producer, drummer, and vocalist. Singing together that day on a new song Williams had written called “Dixie Darlin’,” the three realized they were onto something special. Hughes, a Houston native, brought a wide range of skills to the new band. His effortless harmony vocals, his versatile drumming, and his ears as an engineer and producer would end up having a major impact on shaping the sound of the band. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents Clayton Nile Young on Saturday, August 8th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! “It all started when I fell off a cliff.” Clayton Nile Young Not every artist arrives with a sense of mythology, but Clayton Nile Young does: rooted in something older, he echoes from the Smokies with haunting vocals and a scorching rosin on the fiddle. A multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and storyteller currently based in Charleston, West Virginia, Clayton Nile Young blends elements of alternative country, bluegrass and folk into a sound he often describes as, “Holler Poetry”, a raw, emotionally driven style steeped in mountain tradition and personal history. Although he grew up playing drums, he began teaching himself to play fiddle while in the hospital during an extended stay after a rock climbing accident that took his beloved right knee cap. It was during recovery, he asked permission for his grandfather’s fiddle, an heirloom that carried with it both family legacy and the spirit of mountain music. What followed wasn’t just rehabilitation, it was transformation. Through that instrument Young found both a voice and a calling. He had been playing, writing and singing for years with no plans to record or make anything more out of his music hobby. That changed after the accident and the birth of his first born. He wanted to set the example that you can do whatever you put your heart to. What came of that was his debut album Della, aptly named after his daughter. His sophomore album, Eddy, expands on that vision into something even more ambitious. Named after his second child, the album unfolds as a tragic love story, timeless in structure yet grounded in modern emotion. It follows a man who finds redemption and stability in love, only to lose it leaving him fractured and searching in its wake. The narrative plays like Shakespearean tragedy, where beauty and ruin exist side by side. In a world chasing immediacy, his work stands apart: patient, intimate, emotional and timeless. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents Ecca Vandal on Saturday, October 10th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! For Ecca Vandal, punk was a way in – and a way out. Born to a Sri Lankan family in South Africa, she moved to Australia at a young age, and faced pressure to assimilate. “There were just so many restrictions and limitations growing up in such a strict cultural and religious upbringing,” says Ecca. “When I discovered punk rock, it was so much about expressing yourself against those boundaries, against those things that actually suffocate you. I realized that actually my journey is what I had to talk about. I don't want to see Women voiceless.” Ecca came to punk from jazz training and music school orthodoxy, from weighty first-gen parental expectations, and other places far from the Melbourne home studio where Ecca first screamed her feelings into a microphone. “What I was taught as a child is the exact opposite of like, "Fuck it, I exist and I make noise and I'm loud and I'm going to take up space.” Seeing Ecca’s kinetic energy live, the way she owns the entire frame in videos and as she sings “CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE” – it’s hard to imagine there was ever a time where she was tentative about any of it. The singer/songwriter remembers “Just being so scared to make noise and say something. I wanted to exist as raw, unapologetic and brash, but also have beauty and poise and refinement at the same time. Those things co-exist. That's what I tried to express with my vocals across this album. That, to me, is freedom.” While punk is the framework of Ecca Vandal’s LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW, it equally bears the marks of her girlhood spent traversing between different cultures: “The music that I was absorbing and listening to as a child was soul, gospel, South African traditional music, Sri Lankan and South Indian music. Then I moved to a very white neighborhood in Australia, and everyone at school was listening to guitar-based music.” As a teenager, Ecca fell in love with jazz, and entered the Victorian College of The Arts to train as a jazz vocalist. Her trajectory turned once classmates played her Radiohead, Fugazi, Pixies, and Bjork, effectively exploding her ideas of how emotions could be expressed through music. “I realized that I wasn't going to get fulfilled by singing other people's stories” LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO UNFOLLOW, while anchored in punk, sees Ecca unapologetically reveling in her full creative powers. Tracks like “EYES SHUT” and “DANCE IN DEBT” lean unabashedly into hardcore, but the album polyglot influences reveal Ecca’s “journey” – elements of bhangra flutter up to squealing guitars, heavy crunch gives way to d-beat gives way to skaterock harmonics. On the titanic “DO IT ANYWAY”, over a reggaeton beat, seemingly Ecca answers back to the famous Jenny Holzer line: “done with protecting every bit of me from what I want“. The album holds its disparate angles and its soundclashing tight, contains it with pure punk heart – reflecting the time, place, and love it came from. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. Premier Guitar says, “Stickley’s trio… is not a traditional bluegrass group by any means… they are just nimble and ambitious enough to navigate EDM-style breakbeats as effortlessly as the old timey standard ‘Blackberry Blossom.
105.5 The Colorado Sound presents Bebe Stockwell with Khatumu on Monday, October 12th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Bebe Stockwell: Bebe Stockwell, the Boston-born singer, songwriter, and performer crafts folk anthems punctuated by an unapologetically and unfiltered Gen-Z perspective. Her life began in the neighborhood of Beacon Hill where she took piano, drum, and guitar lessons, and penning songs of her own served as an outlet as a kid. While attending the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University, she continued to write and record. She eventually caught the attention of GRAMMY® Award-winning producer M-Phazes and together they collaborated on her 2022 breakout “Love Me Back,” which to date has amassed north of 7 million Spotify streams. “Love Me Back” paved the way for more music, including “Robbie,” “Frosty,” and “Helium,” as well as while along the way, she shared stages with the likes of Claire Rosinkranz, Stephen Sanchez, Rachel Chinouriri, and M. Ward in addition to gracing the bills of Newport Folk Festival and Boston Calling. In 2024, the songstress inked a deal with Columbia Records and she released her debut EP, Driving Backwards, to much acclaim in May 2025. Khatumu: Khatumu, a half-German, half-Sierra Leonean artist and first-generation American, and recent Yale graduate, ignited her musical journey during the COVID-19 lockdown in Brazil. At 20, she immersed herself in learning music production, quickly gaining attention with her debut single “Hunting Days”. Her upcoming EP Free Therapy blends folk and Americana influences, and showcases her gifts of intimate storytelling and emotional depth, with epically relatable narratives, as evident on tracks like “Sober” and “Fire Drill”. Now based in Los Angeles, Khatumu continues to evolve, crafting touching, catchy songs that explore themes of relationships, self-discovery, identity, and personal growth, and navigate the complexities of young adulthood with a unique voice full of both confidence and vulnerability. Free Therapy ultimately feels like a glimpse into Khatumu’s bright musical future, and clearly solidifies her as a the year’s most captivating and thoughtful young singer/songwriter. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents DICE with The Back Alley on Tuesday, October 27 -- KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! It’s been said that young people don’t know how to communicate anymore. DICE exists to respond to that idea. Comprising of Ben Hodge, Tom King, Regan Beazley, and Sam Barrett-Lennard, the Perth-based four-piece makes music for authentic connection. For movement, for feeling, and for being present. These are songs that push you to run outside and be a kid again, to fall in love, dance in your kitchen, take a spontaneous trip with mates, or lie in the grass doing nothing at all. This mission has resonated far beyond their Western Australian roots. Since the 2024 release of their ARIA-charting debut album Midnight Zoo, DICE has transformed from local indie-rock darlings into a high-velocity global export. Following the critical acclaim of their debut, the band spent 2025 cementing their status as a premier live act, turning the pressures of early adulthood into bright, liberating anthems for sold-out crowds in London, New York, Toronto, Amsterdam, and Sydney. Having maintained a position on triple j’s Most Played Artists list for three consecutive years, DICE continues to build momentum with an unwavering life’s too short philosophy. The band entered 2026 with the release of ‘COOLER’, a track that quickly became a cornerstone of their evolution.Premiering on triple j and soaring straight into high rotation, the single—produced by Joe Chiccarelli (The Strokes, The White Stripes), was hailed by critics as a sophisticated refinement of their sound. Now, the momentum shifts toward their next chapter. On May 15, DICE return with ‘Loose Change’, a high-octane anthem for the risk-takers. Born from a 2023 voice note and refined in LA during a writing session with G Flip and Aidan Hogg, the track was brought to life at Hollywood’s legendary EastWest Studios. While the band continues to explore sophisticated new sonic DNA, ‘Loose Change’ leans into the raw, sun-drenched energy of fan-favorites like ‘Double Espresso’ and ‘Stop Sign’. It is a euphoric reminder that taking the leap is always worth the view, a sentiment the band lived firsthand while navigating the grit required to reach this global milestone. As they continue to fly at their own altitude, DICE is taking this new era back to the global stage. Coinciding with the new single, the band has announced their 2026 US Tour, returning to North American stages to bring their signature kinetic energy to their growing stateside fanbase. DICE creates the soundtrack to experiences you’ll feel nostalgic for before they’ve even happened, and with ‘Loose Change’, the view from the top has never looked better. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. Across their first five studio albums, the duo established their trademark sound of twangy indie rock, 2000s-inspired pop-country, and emotional acoustic ballads with strong pop sensibilities. Their last two records saw them processing life’s most intense emotions more openly than ever before, from declarations of love in its many forms on 2021’s True Love, to grappling with loss and personal change on their latest self-titled album, Hovvdy. But the songs of Big World have them trading in overt emotional directness for subject matter that leans enigmatic, contemplating their place in the world through a mosaic of songs that sees the band at their most secure and self-aware. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. With the addition of modern covers and old time country songs, they explore a vast terrain of genres. Their captivating shows are everchanging, leaving you dancing and wondering what they could possibly do next. The quintet — Cade Slayden (guitar), Ryan Kelly (mandolin), Rabi Phelan (upright bass), Silas Rea (fiddle), and Matt Hickey (banjo) — are drawn to having Bluegrass reach a new generation, priding themselves on their unique sound as the evolution of string band music. They have quickly made their presence known around the US, most notably in the beautiful Gallatin Valley where they are based. North Fork Crossing has recently released their sophomore album, “Portland Rose” including 12 new studio tracks. It ventures to new territory in the studio and explores the evolution of the band, while featuring a more refined sound. The album has tighter harmonies and more structured songs, while still keeping their signature experimental nature. “This album is a culmination of the sound we have been chasing live, fine tuned by the precision of the recording studio” says Rabi. “Cade’s songwriting has evolved to another level of depth and emotion. The stories harmonize with the instrumentation to create a profound yet accessible world for the listener.” They mix old time and bluegrass, traditional and jamgrass, and ballads and hard-driving banjo for an eclectic album that all string music fans will enjoy. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents DWLLRS: One of Those Nights Tour with thebandfriday on Friday, August 14th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! DWLLRS is an expression of our effort to put a voice to all the fears, hopes, dreams, and aspirations we had ruminating in our heads as boys. In a way, it started as an organic friendship between the two of us, Bren Eissman and Joey Spurgeon. Through the years, it has grown with us and turned into our souls pursuit for God and the intangible through music, songwriting, and world building. DWLLRS came from the term “to dwell” which Bren’s dad coined sarcastically because of our tendency to overthink everything. What once served as a detriment soon became the fuel for our journey of unlocking doors in our hearts we didn’t even know were there. We aimed to delve into the duality of the human experience orienting our hearts towards hope in a dark world — while not being afraid to stare into void that suffering sometimes leaves. Through it all, we discovered the true meaning of our band is not just to overthink. We discovered that overthinking came from a deep conviction that was placed on our hearts. And the more we grow in life experience and as artists the more we hope DWLLRS will continue to be built on faith, friendship, and the pursuit of light in a dark world. We are dwellers, forever. DWLLRS VIP Package Includes: One (1) GA Ticket Intimate Q&A with Joey & Bren of DWLLRS A stripped 2-3 song acoustic performance by DWLLRS One (1) signed exclusive Merch Item VIP package holders should arrive to the venue 75 minutes prior to doors opening. The band – composed of Sumner Rahr (guitar/vocals), Guido Rahr (guitar), and Phoebe Webb (bass) – weaves emotion and escapism through their songs, all while sticking to the roots of rock. On their 2024 EP ‘Lay Hold’ The Takes delved further into their country/blues rock tendencies, led by Sumner’s raw vocals and backdropped by an organic four-piece sound of guitar, drums and bass. This era brought the band debut sets at Bonnaroo, BottleRock, Extra Innings Fest, and on two US headline tours, including sold out dates in NYC (Mercury Lounge), Chicago and Colorado Springs. Summer 2025 saw The Takes release anthemic, summery single “Take My Time”, produced by Jon Gilbert (Mt. Joy, Flipturn, Adam Melchor). The Takes are flipping to their next chapter with their third EP ‘Uprooting Roses’ produced with David Baron (The Lumineers, Michael Marcagi, Matt Maeson) out May 1, 2026. It coincides with dates supporting The Runarounds across the US and sets at Treefort Fest, Calgary Stampede, and more.
Globe Hall Presents Francis Of Delirium on Wednesday, November 4th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! The epitome of a modern artist, Jana Bahrich does most things herself, no matter how painstaking - writing, producing, directing, often hand painting t-shirts the day of shows when the band have run out of merch. This has helped give her band Francis of Delirium a unique identity, with her rock confessionals breathing a new life in to the genre and her paintings creating a striking design aesthetic. Released as she was finishing high school, 2020’s single 'Quit Fucking Around’ was a great introduction and it remains one of her most enduring songs. Shortly after it’s release, she signed to artist-first indie Dalliance Recordings (Gia Margaret, HighSchool, lilo) and three EPs - All Change (2020), Wading (2021), The Funhouse (2022) and a striking debut album - Lighthouse (2024) - on and Jana has Francis of Delirium flying. While the EP’s fizzed with promise, her debut album Lighthouse landed its punches. Seeking a more vulnerable and open sonic palette, she wove in pop elements to create anthems that celebrated heartbreak and love. Lead singles ‘Real Love’ and ‘First Touch’ were the first tracks she made with an outsider - working with GRAMMY winning producer Catherine Marks (boygenius, The Killers, Wolf Alice) - while the rest of the album was produced by Jana herself and day one collaborator Chris Hewett. The critics were impressed too - “Bahrich’s choruses, almost every one, are lump-in-your-throat gorgeous.” NME; “Jana Bahrich seems too young for this tremendous debut’s ambitious anthems.” Uncut; “A rewarding experience that captures a talented, young artist at the crossroads between adolescence and adulthood." Paste. Live, Francis of Delirium are Jana (guitar and vocals), Jeff Hennico (bass) and Denis Schumacher (drums). Together, their brilliant quiet-loud dynamic and tight interplay only elevate her songs and over the last 5 years, they’ve toured across Europe and North America, playing headline shows, festivals and tours with the likes of Blondshell, Briston Maroney, The Districts, Horsegirl and Soccer Mommy. They’ve also supported The 1975, Alanis Morissette, DIIV and Wolf Alice. Last summer saw a memorable UK tour with Bôa, the 90s band resurrected by a huge TikTok moment for their track ‘Duvet’. There was a real sense of excitement for these shows with young crowds snaking outside every venue hours before doors and bringing the sort of energy Jana thrives on, she road tested new material to an overwhelmingly positive response, giving her the impetus to go and finish album two. Featuring the singles ‘Little Black Dress’ and ‘It’s a Beautiful Life’, Run, Run Pure Beauty serves as an excavation of hope in bleak times. Produced by Jana and Chris, and mixed by Nicolas Vernhes (Deerhunter, Dirty Projectors, Silver Jews, Wild Nothing), its eleven songs of discovery, despair and perseverance ultimately serve as a mirror on its creator and is a brilliant next installment in the Francis of Delirium arc. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents Slow Magic on Saturday, September 12 - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! Darkness and light, aggression and gentleness, ecstasy and reflection: these dualities define Slow Magic’s third and strongest project to date, Float. An expansive and inventive compendium of modern electronic pop, the enigmatic producer’s latest spans a multitude of genres and moods resulting in a listening experience that makes for its own journey. Written and recorded over the past two years, work on Float commenced shortly after touring behind 2014’s dreamy How to Run Away, the record’s jagged and surprising new sounds taking shape after a leisurely trip to Iceland in order to “try to get away” from things. A subsequent trip to Japan—wherein Slow Magic performed in the country for the first time—further solidified what would go into the album’s sonic and visual motifs. Float marks a number of “firsts” for Slow Magic: it’s the first time the producer’s worked with live drums, as well as the first time they’ve brought guest vocalists into the Slow Magic world, from MNDR and Swedish electro-rockers Kate Boy to like-minded producer Tropics and Antlers frontman Peter Silberman. But it’s a testament to Slow Magic’s unique creative approach that these different voices coalesce on an album that presents a uniform vision even as it embraces exuberant creativity. Music has always provided a retreat for anyone looking to lose themselves in pure sound, and Float is a trip that no one will regret taking. Recently, he put out his 5th studio album, forgotten feels, and in 2024 he plans to put out a how to run away bonus disk around the 10 year anniversary of his second album. In 2026, slow magic plans to release his 6th studio album “emotion engine” in the summer. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
KGNU presents Leon Majcen with Caleb Schwing & The Holy Smokes on Sunday, July 19th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! A modern-day folksinger rooted in the classic tradition of Townes Van Zandt and John Prine, Leon Majcen got started early. He was still a teenager when Love and Misery became a hit on SiriusXM’s The Coffee House channel, introducing a nationwide audience to his unique spin on American roots music. What followed was a decade of traveling, performing, and chasing down new horizons — often with an acoustic guitar in his hands and a fly rod in the trunk. Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) marks Leon’s fourth album in five years. Inspired by the tours that have taken him far beyond his adopted home of Nashville, it’s the sound of a road warrior who’s grown all too familiar with the highs, lows, and heartbreaks that pave the long road out of town. He writes poignantly about a life spent on the move, bouncing between solo songs and full-band performances. For a songwriter who first hit the road as an infant — back when his Bosnian refugee parents moved the family to Florida, determined to find a better life for their children — Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) is Leon’s most honest album to date, fueled equally by melody and momentum. “The road is calling; don’t leave the light on,” he sings during the first track, delivering the line to all the people and places he’s left behind in the rearview mirror. Making A Livin’ (Not a Killin’) often revisits that theme of departure, from tracks like “Down the Road” — a laid-back, loping tribute to skipping town, punctuated by fiddle solos and a deep, countrified groove — to the darkly humorous “Sleeping in a Car Is Fun Until You Gotta Pee.” Both of those songs are driven forward by Leon’s acoustic guitar, a nod to his longtime roots as a disciple of Guy Clark and Bob Dylan. That doesn’t stop him from getting loud with “Walking Down the Street,” a bluesy rocker packed with amplification and attitude. That’s uncharted territory for Leon, and it’s proof that even the most seasoned travelers deserve to explore new places once in a while. “I’ve always occupied the folky side of country music, or the country side of folk,” he says, nodding to previous releases like 2020’s Back ’Til I’m Gone, 2024’s self-titled Leon Majcen, and 2025’s Better Days. “For years, I’ve felt most at home when it’s just me and my acoustic guitar. But this record is a pivot. It’s a bigger sound with more layers, more intent, and a real producer. It just feels right.” There are more shows on the horizon. More songs to write. More fishing holes to track down. Leon is part of the Cloverdale family now — a record label and musical collective overseen by Evan Honer, another Gen Z songwriter who uses folk music as a launchpad for a more expansive sound. And if the road truly goes on forever, then he’s ready to run it down. This is how Leon makes a living, and right now, life is good. All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
Globe Hall Presents John-Robert with MyKey on Tuesday, August 4th. - KITCHEN OPENS AT 5PM! John-Robert: John-Robert has been a notable performer since he was a child, it is simply what he was born to do. At only 13 years old, John-Robert was handpicked to perform on the Ellen show as a musical child prodigy. At 19, he left his hometown Edinburg, VA (pop. 1,070) in 2019 to move to LA and start his music career, bypassing a scholarship to Berklee. He was signed to Nice Life/Warner by Grammy-nominated producer Ricky Reed (Leon Bridges, Lizzo) and released a handful of singles and EPs over a few years, earning him co-signs from artists Alessia Cara and Camilla Cabello. But it was a live fireside performance of his 2023 song “Come Pick Me Up” that catapulted John-Robert’s lilting blend of traditional folk and Appalachian country into the modern pop landscape. He toured extensively in 2023 and 2024 in the US and abroad supporting artists like Madi Diaz, Rayland Baxter, Leon Bridges, and even Liam Gallagher. Virginia, and his family there, has always been a source of inspiration for the singer-songwriter. On making his 2023 EP Garden Snake he says, “It was like trying to make a Virginia record in LA.” A move back home to Virginia in early 2025 made perfect sense as he embarked on creating a new body of work. The move was a way to pull himself out of the professional and personal turmoil of LA, and reconnect with the people and places that made him who he is today – the banks of the North Fork Shenandoah River and rolling hillsides, the home-cooked meals and close-knit community. Newly independent, he released his EP Cross Stitch in 2025. He has spent the last few months on the road with JOSEPH, Ax and the Hatchetmen, Infinity Song and more. And this year, new music is already on the horizon. MyKey: Maryland singer/songwriter MyKey creates mellow and dreamy pop songs made up of floating melodies, self-produced instrumentals, and a charmingly laid-back outlook on life. After self-releasing a debut album in 2017, MyKey signed on with Warner Records and solidified his bedroom pop style on 2021 mixtape Welcome to the Witching Hour.MyKey was born Mikey Ambrosino in 1996 and entered the music world as a member of Gaithersburg, Maryland bluegrass band Flower Hill String Band. The traditional bluegrass ensemble was a far cry from the chilled-out pop he would later make on his own, but MyKey spent a decade playing guitar and singing in the group while working toward writing music of his own. In 2017, he issued Faces, a debut solo album with elements of Americana, alternative radio rock, and hints of the fusion of electronic styles and organic songwriting that would show up on later releases. Subsequent songs like "VHS" and "Was It Something I Said" (both released in 2019), saw a significant shift in styles, moving more toward loops, warped guitar samples, and airy hooks. In 2020, MyKey issued the track "Please Don't Go" and a remix of "Was It Something I Said" featuring Cavetown. The following year, he released "Sweet Tooth" on its own, and the song also appeared on the short mixtape Welcome to the Witching Hour, which collected nine of MyKey's self-produced tracks. ~ Fred Thomas All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final. His new record Feet on Fire captures that period of wild transition, with songs inspired by Chapman's marriage to fellow songwriter Meg McRee and the arrival of the couple's first child. On songs like the guitar-driven title track, Chapman mixes Pink Floyd atmosphere with Crazy Horse crunch, showcasing the full spread of his musical influences. Elsewhere, he tips his hat to his southern roots with the laidback, loping "Out in the Country" and the Stax-sized soul ballad "Missing You." Produced by Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Anderson East, Feet on Fire captures Ben Chapman as we've never heard him before: his back against the wall and his heart full, determined not only to meet the challenges up ahead, but to write about the process, too All ages, ticketed guests under 16 ONLY ADMITTED WITH TICKETED GUARDIAN 21+ All sales are final.
