Boogie Lights w/ WAXCAT, Dh DoS, Chillsbury Doughboys + JVXN
Globe Hall Presents Boogie Lights with WAXCAT, Dh DoS, Chillsbury Doughboys and JVXN on Friday, March 31st. Boogie Lights presents the debut of “Boogie Lights & the Boogie Bunch” featuring a live band with guitar, synth, sax, and vocals fused with Boogie’s emphatic drumming. Let’s BOOGIE! Boogie Lights is a Denver based artist that combines DJing and live drums with a raised electronic kit. Live shows provide a mix of Funk, Nu-Disco, and Deep House while fusing it with crunchy Tech House grooves and splicing in some Gospel or Italian ballads to keep it spicy. The live experience becomes a non stop Disco party that is fueled by Boogie’s emphatic energy. “Mark Henrichs isn’t your ordinary DJ. His high-energy sets as Boogie Lights find him bouncing around stage and jamming on a raised electric drum set while simultaneously spinning infectious dance music. After seeing him once, you won’t forget it (or at least your body won’t, after dancing so hard)… His latest single, ‘JOY LOVE PEACE’ is out now on all major streaming platforms, an undeniably groovy banger that melds nu-disco, deep house, gospel and soul into a soaring amalgamation of EDM that you’ll likely be playing on repeat.” – Emily Ferguson, Westword Denver Mark was raised in Rochester, NY and grew up banging on pots and pans until he eventually got his first drum set. The funky vision for Boogie Lights was to fuse DJing with the energy of banging on pans like a 5 year old. Since moving to Denver in 2017, Boogie has played in some notable venues such as Bluebird Theater, Larimer Lounge, Cervantes’ Other Side, The Black Box, Your Mom’s House, Beacon, etc. BL has also been support for artists such as SkiiTour, The Sponges, Fox Stevenson, Night Drive, and The Orchestrator. – 16+, under 16 admitted with a ticketed parent or guardian

Haley Heynderickx w/ LéPonds + Esmé Patterson
Globe Hall Presents Haley Heynderickx with LéPonds on Saturday, April 29th.Haley Heynderickx’s songwriting is crushingly intimate, vivid, melodically inventive, and completely unpredictable. Her debut album I Need to Start a Garden seamlessly contrasts her unconventional tunings and American-Primitive-inspired fingerpicking with enveloping sonic outbursts. Lead by her raw, immersive vocals, the Portland songwriter’s music defies categorization. NPR called her “an utterly distinct and wonderfully nervy, idiosyncratic presence,” while Stereogum named the album “one of the most intriguing and immersive debuts of the year.”- 16+, under 16 admitted with a ticketed parent or guardian
KTCL 93.3 presents Brick + Mortar w/ Jhariah + Pollyanna
KTCL 93.3 Presents Brick + Mortar with Jhariah and Pollyanna on Saturday, May 20 –It’s not quite a punk band or completely polished pop act: B+M are organic. Their shows are ridiculous, but their songs have a message. Brandon Asraf is the man behind the music, drawing inspiration from his youth filled with anxiety, depression, and the social complexities of being the son of a con man, smuggler & international fugitive. He has lived a life stranger than most, his songs painting a picture of his journey through every lyric. Brick + Mortar was born on Brandon’s little brother’s couch, with his buddy John Tacon; a big experiment with small expectations. In 2012, the duo signed to Mad Dragon Record Label at Drexel University with the opportunity to be featured on the record Making Moves; a 7inch record produced by Motion City Soundtrack. Three records, multiple festival appearances, and countless tours later (Including runs with The Front Bottoms, Yoke Lore, The Unlikely Candidates, and Anthony Green), Brick + Mortar have perfected the art of blending the authenticity and emotion of a one on one living room performance with an over the top, The Flaming Lips-esque visual performance. Throughout the years, their goal has stayed the same: to make the music their hearts and minds lead them to make. They’re just glad that you listen.- 16+, under 16 admitted with a ticketed parent or guardian

Andrew Duhon w/ Lonely Choir
Globe Hall Presents Andrew Duhon with Lonely Choir on Thursday, July 20th. It was Leo Tolstoy who said “All great literature is one of two stories; a man goes on a journey or a stranger comes to town,” and in the case of Andrew Duhon and his latest album Emerald Blue, both instances are true. Duhon temporarily left New Orleans, his longtime home and musical muse in 2019, finding himself inspired by the landscape of the Pacific Northwest and notably, its colors—a hue he describes as ‘emerald blue’ for which the album is named, the same shade looking back at him in his partner’s eyes. Had he overlooked the specific shade of her eyes while living below sea level? Or did the change of location open his mind more acutely? The record does just that: examine the familiar in the context of the unfamiliar. Emerald Blue is a probing appreciation of the dailiness of life; a note-taking exercise in living. Duhon channeled his new perspective into an eleven song collection, calling on friends and collaborators including Jano Rixon drums, percussion, and harmonies; Myles Weeks on upright and electric basses and harmonies; and Dan Walker on keys and accordion. Duhon returned South for the recording process, finding comfort and creativity in Maurice, Louisiana’s storied Dockside Studios with GRAMMY-award winning engineer and longtime collaborator of Andrew’s, Trina Shoemaker, to capture every inch of vibe and beauty and texture each song had to offer.- 16+, under 16 admitted with a ticketed parent or guardian
